China to boost exports by 2.2 trillion yuan in 2018, report says

China will boost exports in 2018 by 2 trillion yuan, and its trade surplus will rise to 5.3 trillion yuan by 2021, a report by China’s National Bureau of Statistics said.

The increase in exports is due to a 2.4 trillion yuan increase in goods and services from the first half of 2018 to the second half of 2019, the National Bureau said on Thursday.

The trade surplus of 5.5 trillion yuan will be reached in 2020, it said.

In 2019, China’s export to Japan reached 9.7 trillion yuan.
