In late 2017, I was working as a data scientist in an emerging startup.
I was doing research for a client who was building an AI system to find the best possible data sets for an app.
In the course of that research, I came across a panel of people who had recently made the jump from academia to the big data world.
One of them was a professor who had just been hired to teach a class on data science at NYU.
As a result, I had the chance to sit down with the professor to talk about data science, machine learning, and machine learning for entrepreneurs.
The conversation got me thinking about the intersection of science and business.
